That was a good day. It was the first proper time that i went out with a friend and watched a movie since i became sick. I've barely gone out these holidays, i went out with Aisha on the last day of my exam to watch Letters to Juliet and we had a massive lunch at Chilli's. That was a good day, i love just going out with Aisha, eating food talking and enjoying a good movie. When Annesah was still here, us three would do the same. I enjoy their company far better than going out on big groups, aimlessly wondering around unable to decide on how to keep ourselves entertained. With Aisha, we never get bored. We find some place nice to eat and we talk for ages we don't even notice how long the waiters take to bring our food. Conversation just flows so naturally. There's no feelings of awkwardness while we silently eat our food and make small conversation now and then. I like that feeling, being able to feel so calm, relaxed and natural around someone. Well we have been friends for 3 - 4 years, which scares me. Is that how long it will take me when we move back to Australia, for me to make friends. Will it take me 3 years to find that close friend, who i can share everything with? Will i ever find someone i can be close to like i was with Aisha and Annesah? It just scares me. I hope i do. But know that i will never be able to find people just like them. Everybody is different after all.
Anyway i went completely off topic! I was talking about my lovely date with Aisha and then look at where i trailed off to, how typical of me. Anyway we planned to meet at Pavilion at 12pm, i accidentally slept in until 11.30am so we both decided to meet a little later. I took my own sweet time getting changed and everything seeing as Aisha was going to be a little late herself. I got to Pavilion around 12.15pm or so. I was walking towards the cinema and while i was walking past Bobbi Brown, i stopped for a moment to look at their make up products. One of the sales attendants insisted on showing me their new foundation and how it looks on me. Well i wasn't about to decline so i let her lead me to one of the make up booths where i sat down and she excitedly pulled out a range of make up and skin care products. Seeing as i was already wearing make up, the lady took all my make up off and went on to giving me a whole new 'do.
Firstly, she wiped my entire face with Cleansing Oil - RM140 followed by hydrating my skin with a water spray. Next she completely toned my face using Soothing Tonic - RM100, finishing off with rubbing my face with Intensive Serum - RM220 and Hydrating Face Cream - 180. She spent so much time as she slowly wiped and massaged my skin with each product. Oh she also used Hydrating Eye Cream - RM170 for underneath my eyes and a very plain Lip Balm - RM70.
After cleaning my face and what not, she then start applying all the make up, oh the attendants name was Ivy, so if you ever go to Bobbi Brown in Pavilion, ask for her because she's really nice!
Anyway Ivy started off with using a Corrector, for under my eyes, my skin tone was Dark Peach - RM90, then she used Concealer( Natural Tan) - RM135. Next she used foundation, but she didn't use it under my eyes because the Corrector and Concealer were enough and were the same colour as the foundation anyway. She used a liquid Skin Foundation (Natural) -RM160 and then she brushed on some Pressed Powder ( Soft Sand) - RM120, just to add a little more colour on my skin. After the foundation she used this blush stick, Sheer Colour Cheek Tint ( Sheer Coral) -RM85. She added a little more lipgloss, Colour Rich Lip Gloss( Tutu) - RM70 finishing off with Party Mascara - RM80.
Anyway Aisha came just as Ivy was finishing off and she got basically the same thing done. She looked soo amazing with all that make up on! Not that she doesn't usually, but yeah you know what i mean! Anyway we got some money changed and went off to the cinema to buy our movie tickets. The whole place was booked out, so thank god i reserved seats the previous night! We went downstairs and eventually went into Athena for lunch, its about 2 restaurants away from Carlos, to the left. It was nice and empty and the gay guy who we told we'd be back looked so pleased when we actually came back. We passed the restaurant and said we'd come back later and in return he gave us the bitchiest looks! Anyway they had this really good lunch special and i had this amazing Mediterranean Beef and Aisha had Mediterranean Fish. It started off with this lovely Minestrone Soup followed by our main dishes and dessert. Dessert was either Tiramisu or this Spicy Strawberry thing... Aisha had Ice Lemon Tea and i had Red Wine to drink. Ergh we had quite the annoying waiter the entire time, for some reason the nice gay guy didn't end up waiting our table. This other creepy person however, took our orders and just stood there finally bursting in question; Where are you from? Do you study here? Can i get your name? I answered his first two questions politely but i wasn't about to give him my name. When he repeated his inquiry of my name which was followed by awkward silence he said, " Oh have you forgotten your own name?" I nodded, smiled and thank the lord he walked away! Anyway the only perk of his unusual creepy interest in me resulted to twice the amount of wine in my glass, major score!
Anyway as we finally finished our food, 10 minutes late for our movie, we asked for the bill and guess who came trotting along? He gave me the bill and stood there once again ready with his 'flirting'; "I hope you aren't leaving soon. I was hoping to get your name and number? Can we just be friends?" Now he was really pushing it, i said it would not be appropriate for him to know such details and sorry i'm really not interested and i'm seeing someone else and he would not appreciate this sort of behavior from someone i don't know. Crestfallen and full of disappointment, he took the bill and left. Considering he'd put me right on the spot, i think i handled the situation pretty well. It was only after we had left that Aisha suggested we could have pretended to be Lesbians and she could have said something!
Anyway we missed the beginning of our movie and the rest of it was pure bullshit. I was so disappointed with the movie i was actually slightly angry! Killers, don't watch it people!
Anyway after the movie we walked around for a bit, we bumped into some of Aisha's Fairview friends and we walked around with them going into shops etc. I soon had to go and i almost forgot to take the books from Aisha that she had lent me; Dear John, Can You Keep A Secret, My Sister's Keeper and My Best Friend's Girl.
I started and finished reading Dear John last night and i was once again disappointed. Compared to his other books, this really isn't one of the good ones. It was so boring, draggy and utterly predictable. I wasn't going to finish the book but i did for the sake of it. There were only 2 times in which i cried. The first time was when John read Savannah's letter on the plane, where she told him to look up at the moon and think of her. I thought that was really sweet but what broke my heart is that, Lythiah and I used to do the same thing. For a really long time, with no letters or emails, i would always text Lythiah when i saw a Full Moon in the sky. To this day, whenever i see a full moon i always think of Lythiah. It's not 1% as romantic and sweet as in Dear John, but it really got to me because i shared that moment with Lythiah and it just...really got to me. I cried again at the epilogue of the book and that's it. I'm hoping the other books will be a good read.
